ABOUT MARINETECH

MarineTech is specialized, among others, in the underwater inspection and pollution control. It offers a range of specific products including a remote-controlled surveillance drone called RSV (Remote Survey Vehicle). This product is assembled in their workshop, tested and shipped to customers internationally. MarineTech felt the need to digitise production monitoring and provision of technical documentation to its customers. WITS Engineering has designed a prototype application in that respect, which would also allows customers to methodically report failures occurring to their drone and MarineTech to respond more effectively during the product warranty period.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Define the content architecture of the application
• Propose a structured failures classification (based on OREDA)
• Implement both manufacturing follow-up and failure tracking processes
• Develop a 3D interactive interface integrated into the application representing the major components of drones
